[Request] Push To Talk

As some of you know, me and a group of friends spend this past weekend playing around with Walkie Talkie PTT  www.cyrket.com/p/android/com.rcreations.ptt/.
Its an app to do Pust To Talk (ie sends voice messages to other users).

Unfortunately, its development by its dev has stopped[1].

The spec for this app, is for it to be able to capture sound samples[2], and sent to one ore more users[3].
The transport used for the messaged, by Walkie Talkie PTT is quite interesting, and breaks with the need to use specific servers, by using email as the way to deliver them (SMTP for sending, and IMAP (i'm guessing IDLE) for receiving.

I would appreciate if such app development was licensed as Open Source.

[1] Once again its shows, how important having the code as Open Source is;
[2] In future versions, it would be nice if the app would be able to send not only voice, but many other files, like images and even video;
[3] The current app is very limited in the way it manages Contacts, so the new version could allow a better management of Groups, sending in BCC 8so others did not know about who you are messaging), integration with Google Contacts (like using a new group to store/tag users with PTT).

Any one up to it?

focus or no focus?

I like SnapPhoto (http://www.cyrket.com/package/com.ap.SnapPhoto_Pro)
so much that I donated 2US$ to the autor.
I also asked for two features: a quick shoot mode; the app does lots
of great stuff like auto focus and stability, but there are those
times u just want to click and point (like the default app does).

 Today he sent me the new version of the app with the quick shoot mode.
I took two pics, one with regular mode, and one with quick shoot.
Can u tell me which is which ?
